How would you like to be the only kid in Sunday School? Lucy Scott knows firsthand. She had one-on-one Sunday school lessons from Susan Newendorp for a few years. “She would do lessons, we’d color and do different crafts, and Susan would turn on the ceiling speaker so we could hear the sermon upstairs. By Sarah Gardner When Linda Strandberg lost her voice in a tracheotomy-gone-wrong in 2020 her doctor told her he could take some of her body fat and use it to rebuild her damaged voice box. Strandberg didn’t lose a beat. “Can you take a whole lot?” she shot back. “I just wanted to live. I wanted to live.”
