

A Different Way to Pray
Have you ever wished for a little time to simply be still? On Friday, August 28, at 5 p.m., Estes Park United Methodist Church will offer a Contemplative Prayer Service in the tradition of Taizé. If you've never experienced a service like this, it is worship with a quieter, more spacious rhythm. The service will last about 30–40 minutes and, rather than a sermon and many spoken words, will be built around simple repeated songs, Scripture, silence, candlelight, and prayer. Th

How would you like to be the only kid in Sunday School? Lucy Scott knows firsthand. She had one-on-one Sunday school lessons from Susan Newendorp for a few years. “She would do lessons, we’d color and do different crafts, and Susan would turn on the ceiling speaker so we could hear the sermon upstairs.
