You are invited to join us on September 17th for our Reconciling Anniversary Sunday !

We are celebrating our first anniversary as a Reconciling Congregation at Estes Park UMC and our second year as an Open Hearts Reconciling Community with the overall theme of “Visioning an Inclusive Church.”   We have a Reconciling Ministries Network Team at the church that plans events to educate and build awareness on being fully inclusive.

Beverly Cole, an active Laywoman in the UMC from Kansas and the author of twobooks supporting LGBTQ persons and all persons of faith, will be our special guest on September 17th during worship. Her books are entitled Cleaning Closets and Voices from the Kingdom.  She will share at the 9:45am worship service on Stepping Stones or Stumbling Blocks.  Beverly will have her books available to purchase and sign during fellowship time after worship.

Reconciling congregations are affiliated with the Reconciling Ministries Network, the group working for full inclusivity in United Methodist churches and reaching out to create safe places for all of God’s children.  Each Reconciling church has to write a Welcoming Statement that appears in all publications along with RMN logo that is a sign of love and hope to many.
