EPUMC maintains a library for members and non-members to check out books for a month or more. There are no fines if you want to keep the book longer. The collection includes fiction, non-fiction, biographies, videos, CDs, and reference materials. The library, with both children and adult books, is located at the west end of Anderson Fellowship Hall on the first floor of the church.
The majority of the EPUMC library collection has a Christian emphasis, but secular materials and resources about world religions are represented as well. Additionally, EPUMC has an excellent children’s library. There is a card catalog to assist you with your hunt for the perfect book.
Readers from our church community traditionally participate in various book clubs and book studies. Individually, however, many are participating in the United Women in Faith reading program. This organization releases a recommended book list each year. Books are categorized under several themes for readers to explore. Our local UWFaith group purchases a number of these books so that people can read through the list. Everyone is welcome to participate, not just women or members of UWFaith.
The check-out procedure is simple. All you need to do is place your name on the book card, place the card in a centrally located file, and enjoy the book or resource at home.
The library is open anytime the church is open. We encourage you to stop by and browse.
