EPUMC maintains a library for members and non-members to check out books for a month or more. The collection of approximately 2000 items ranges from fiction, non-fiction, biographies, videos, CDs, and reference materials.

Readers from our church community traditionally participate in a number of book clubs and book studies. During this time of COVID restrictions, groups are not meeting in person. Individually, however, many are participating in the United Methodist Women reading list. The national UMW organization releases a book list each year. Books are categorized under several themes for readers to explore. Our local UMW group purchases a number of these books so that people can read through the list. Everyone is welcome to participate, not just women or members of UMW.

The majority of the EPUMC library collection has a Christian emphasis, but secular materials and resources about world religions are represented as well. Many nonfiction books, located in one of the office areas off of the fellowship hall, are also available. Additionally, EPUMC has an excellent children’s library. There is a card catalog to assist you with your hunt for the perfect book.

The check-out procedure is simple. All you need to do is place your phone number on the book card, place the card in a file, and enjoy the book or DVD at home.

The library is open anytime the Church is open. We encourage you to stop by and browse. During COVID, masks are required. Please limit your group to 2-3 people and check in at the church office upon arrival. The library, with both children and adult books, is located at the west end of Anderson Fellowship Hall on the first floor.

There are no fines if you want to keep the book longer. You are in charge. This is your library!
