In the month of September, the Woman’s Devotional Group will be studying the same book the Public Library’s patrons will be studying under the program called the One Book, One Valley. The book is “The Distance Between Us” by Reyna Grande. This is a memoir about a child living in Mexico and migrating into the United States. It is very descriptive of the child’s difficult life spent between two parents and two countries. You can pick up your free book from the Public Library anytime.

Do consider joining this non–denominational group to discuss this book before the activities at the Pub- lic Library begin. The full month of October there will be lots going on at the Public Library around this book, including the visitation of the author on October 12th.
